Special Education Teacher

Hello!
My name is LeAnn Thiner. I have taught Special Education in the Sioux Valley/Round Lake/Brewster school district since 1987. I first started teaching at the high school and then moved to the elementary school for a numbers of years and am now back at the high school building
I was born and raised on a farm in Indian Lake Township. I attended school in the Worthington School District. I then attended Minnesota West Community College in Worthington for two years then went on for further schooling at Minnesota State University-Mankato. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in elementary education and special education(severe to mild cognitive impaired). I then went on for further schooling to receive my license in learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorder.
I have been married to Bernie Thiner for 32 years. He works for the Veterinary Medical Center as a salesman. We have three children. Adam, the oldest, is married and lives in Bloomington, Illinois. He received his bachelor degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato and his masters degree from St. Cloud University in history. His wife, Holly, is attending Illinois State to receive her masters in Fine Arts. Mark received his bachelor's degree in business management from Minnesota State University-Mankato. He is grocery department manager at Walmart. Our youngest son, Matthew, is in his senior year of college at Crossroads College in Rochester, MN. His degree will be in pastoral ministry. He plans on getting his master next year at Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois His wife received her degree from the University of Minnesota in psychology. They are expecting their first child and our first grandchild in September.
